Welcome to John F. Kennedy Elementary School! 

Born and raised in Ogdensburg, New York, I attended John F. Kennedy Elementary School as a fourth and fifth grade student, though the building certainly had a few less hallways at that time!  Fast forward nearly three decades, and I could not be happier to have returned to JFK as the Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) – Grade 2 Principal! I am excited for a positively amazing school year!

What should you know about Mrs. Frank?  Community service is my jam, and I have been helping others since I was young through the Kiwanis family.  Yo hablo español (I can speak Spanish!).  I love to read children’s literature, and count among my favorites Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast by Josh Funk, The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch, Interrupting Chicken and the Elephant of Surprise by David Ezra Stein, and Memoirs of a Goldfish by Devin Scillian.  I do not like to say “I can’t,” because I believe we are always learning, but, I cannot whistle.

As an educator, children are my top priority, with the goal of cultivating in each student the academic and social skills necessary to carry into their future endeavors.  I hope to inspire in the children who enter our building each day a love of reading through our implementation of the Teacher’s College Reading and Writing Project, a sense of good character through the Positivity Project and the traits of positive psychology it encompasses, and a feeling of community throughout our school. 

“Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world” (from Matilda by Roald Dahl).  I believe we are a team in education, with students, parents, teachers, and administrators partnering to promote success in every child who enters the doors of John F. Kennedy Elementary School.
