OFA was proud to have North Country native Dr. David Dupree as a guest speaker at this year's Academic Banquet.  Pictured below are Seniors from the Head Table as well as Superintendent, Timothy Vernsey with Dr. Dupree.

The Alan Krause Citizenship Award is presented annually to an outstanding boy and girl from the OFA freshman class who have demonstrated the qualities of loyalty, responsibility, and respect for themselves, their school and fellow students.  This year's recipients are: Ellen Miller (with parents Shirley and Michael) and Matt Ramm (with parents Janet and Geoffrey).  The presentation was made by Jacki Krause.

Pictured are members of the Ogdensburg Education Association and Claxton Hepburn Cancer Center presenting a check in the amount of $5,100 to the 12th Annual Breast Cancer Walk held in Gouverneur on Saturday, May 18th.  The event is put on each year by a group of Gouverneur business women and dozens of volunteers, this year hundreds of supporters, of all ages, turned out in Gouverneur and raised nearly $100,000.  The money stays local to help people diagnosed with breast cancer.

The OEA donated a check in the amount of $200 to the Fort la Presentation Association for Living History day, which took place on May 17th on Lighthouse Point.  Over 330 students from Heuvelton Central School and Ogdensburg City School District experienced what life was like in the 18th century.  Shown from left are Shawn Paradis, OEA member and Julie Madlin Chairperson of the Fort Education Committee.
